Where Excellence and Expertise combine

Musikhaus Update – June 2026

Progress on the website and contents continues. The Choral/Vocal page and contents are beginning to populate. I am painstakingly editing my arrangements and compositions prior to posting them. Enhancements to the website such as onlilne download requests and payments will follow but, for the moment, one can simply drop an email request and it will be answered.

The latest uploads to the site are my arrangements of the Claudio Monteverdi Gloria in Excelsis of 1641 and Divinum Mysterium in both Latin and English versions.

Musikhaus would be developing faster if Michelle and I had not made the decision to create memories while we are still relatively young and healthy enough to do so.

Sitting in the hot tub, sipping drinks, discussing life and things we’d like to experience, Michelle brought up (for the 100th time) her desire to visit Manhattan and Broadway.  Must have been the moment, but I agreed that we should.

Within fifteen minutes we had bought tickets to see Daniel Radcliffe in Every Brilliant Thing and plane tickets to LaGuardia. Then, for icing on the cake, we bought tickets to see Tom Felton reprise his role as the adult Draco Malfoy in The Cursed Child also!

Four great days in the Times Square Marriott Marquis ensued. These five pics try to encapsulate the trip.

We continue to rehab Loki, who has recovered well – enough that I can now allow him off-leash again.  We’re still wary of allowing him to chase rabbits and such, so even when off leash, I am quick to call him back before he sprints off.

Back from NYC, I discovered a bulge in my groin. Immediate cancer fears were dispelled by a CAT scan that showed a hernia – caused by ???  Last Friday (June 12) I underwent laproscopic surgery for hernia repair. I’m still chuckling over the yellow tag on my arm that indicates I am a “fall risk”.

Yellow Tag: "Fall Risk"
Loki and Tiger were unhappy that they could not climb on me after surgery and had to stay with their mom.

Today I am chronologically 73 years old.  Guess that makes me officially old. Yeah, well, too bad. I still have a lot to get done. Expect more updates as the year unfolds.

Stay in touch.
